Punany Poets Review
It was 2002 when I was flipping thru channels and came to the sultry sounds of Ms. Jessica Holter’s voice poetically speaking about her “head game.” And it was this year 2005 when I had the opportunity to see and hear the voice live and in person.
I couldn’t have gotten a warmer welcome by Ms. Holter last night at the Atlanta Love Punany Poets Performance. The atmosphere was wonderful being the setting was in the Lambert Art Gallery, where we enjoyed choices of the finest wines, pasta and erotic speaking. Visual’s with unexpected, and sensual surprises were given by exotic dance from one of the newest female members of the Punany Poets Ms. Renita, she definitely knows her craft not to mention the singing, as she lullabied her acapella version of Ms. Billy Holiday’s Lonely. There was an exxxceptional performance by Mr. Bo “MF” Ellis this man say, exxxactly what he wants you to feel and believe me his presence was felt there last night. Shouts out to Bo Ellis who was named last night officially as the newest male member of Punany Poets. Congratulations Bo on this great achievement. I had the honor of speaking with Mr. Ellis last night after the announcement and his comments were, that, this was definitely one of his greater moments in his lifetime, I reiterated to him that it was much deserved, definitely! Another great poet in the house last night was Maleek Da Freek originally from Philly who let us know why he is really the “handyman.” The star of the show Ms. Jessica Holter aka “The Head Doctor” really did get her message across with the promotion of “LOVE” in relationships and keeping the spark burning into a full out flame, along with a message of safe sex promotion. Shouts out to you Ms. Holter for the keeping it REAL!!!!
This show definitely a must see performance. I promise you, there won’t be ANY disappointments. I loved the show so much that I personally am attending their show in Los Angeles this upcoming weekend. I don’t know exactly the dates yet when they will be back here but this is a feature that you won’t want to miss!! I’m sure I will be there too.
